Leeds United FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid

This is the version of Leeds United FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid from 25 September 2026, kept for the record. The picks and the numbers have moved since. The current version →

Leeds: the value is all at the wrong end — which is exactly where you want it

Our model rates Leeds' defence the meanest in the league right now. Not top six, not "solid for a promoted-style side" — first of twenty. And the run coming up is a kind one for clean sheets, which is why every Leeds name worth owning on this page is a defender or the goalkeeper.

The attack is a different story. Leeds sit mid-table-at-best for goal threat, and the fixtures — Arsenal away, Chelsea away, Spurs at Elland Road — are a very tough run for anyone hoping to score. Which brings us to Calvert-Lewin. He's the most-owned Leeds player by a distance, about 2 to 3 in 10 managers have him, he's on penalties, and he still projects fewer points over the next six than a £4.5m defender in the same shirt. He's priced and owned for what he might do; the defenders are priced for what Leeds actually do, which is not concede. That's the whole page in one sentence.

So who carries the value? Muharemović tops our list, with Bogle and Justin close behind, and Trafford is the pick between the sticks if you'd rather take the clean sheets plus save points. Justin at £4.5m with almost nobody owning him — roughly 1 in 10 don't even come close, it's nearer 1 in 100 — is the kind of enabler that funds a premium elsewhere.

Now the caveat, because there always is one: none of these players is fully nailed. Four starts apiece is a decent habit, not a guarantee, and a back line that rotates is how a £4.5m bargain becomes a bench headache. That's the thing that changes this call — if the teamsheets start shuffling, the value evaporates. Watch the first lineup after you buy.

One more note for the brave: Stach takes the corners and free kicks, so if you insist on Leeds attacking coverage, he's the honest route, not the striker — but into this fixture run I wouldn't bother.

The call: buy the defence — Muharemović or Bogle first, Justin if every £0.1m matters, Trafford if it's the keeper slot. Hold off on Calvert-Lewin, and if you own him, he's a sell into Arsenal away. Cheap points that actually turn up beat expensive points that might.
