Leeds United FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid
The call — The market has Leeds upside down. About 2-3 in 10 managers own Calvert-Lewin. The Leeds defenders — the ones our model actually rates — are sitting there at well under 1 in 10 apiece, and one of them barely registers at all. That's the whole article, really, but let's do it properly.
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.
Your name and your FPL team name. That is all it takes, and we will have your answer before you have finished reading this sentence.

Our prediction has Leeds as the meanest defence in the league right now — first of twenty — while the attack sits in the bottom half. So the value in this squad is at the back, full stop. And despite a fixture list that reads scary on paper (Arsenal and Chelsea away, Spurs at Elland Road), our projections rate the clean-sheet run kindly. Shut-outs are how this team earns its FPL money, and the model expects them to keep coming.
The pick of the bunch is Muharemović, who tops our Leeds rankings and is the best route in at a five-pound price. Trafford is the same story in goal — if you'd rather bank clean sheets through the keeper, he's the second-best door into the same defence. Bogle and Justin are the true enabler plays, a rung cheaper again, and Justin in particular is a pick almost nobody else has.
Now the deadpan bit. Nobody in this back line is fully nailed — the regulars have started five of six, which is good but not gospel. That's the honest tax on a cheap Leeds defender: you're buying a very good defence with a small rotation wobble attached. I'll take five-of-six starts at these prices all day, but know what you own.
And Calvert-Lewin? He's the most-owned Leeds asset by a mile, he's on penalties, and our model ranks him behind three defenders and the goalkeeper. He's priced and owned for his ceiling; the attack behind him ranks fourteenth and faces a genuinely tough attacking run. The pens keep him from being a sell-on-sight, but a striker whose team can't create is a floor problem, and floors are my department. Stach is the only midfield route worth a glance — he's on every set piece — but he's a watch, not a buy.
The call: buy into Leeds through the defence, Muharemović first, Bogle or Justin if the budget's tight. If you own Calvert-Lewin, he's a sell the moment you need the money — and don't buy him fresh. The points here come from the clean sheets, not the romance.
