FPL Fixtures: The Teams With The Easiest Run

The pick of that route is Diego Gomez (£5.0m) — our model ranks him ahead of both Groß and De Cuyper, he's projected around 35 points across the window, and hardly anyone has him: about 4 in 10... no, barely 4 in 100 — call it fewer than 1 in 10. At that price he's a genuine bargain path. De Cuyper (£4.7m) is the clean-sheet play if you'd rather defend the high ground.

Newcastle's road is arguably flatter still: Bournemouth, Leeds, Hull, Coventry, Villa, Palace — not a mountain in sight. Wissa (£6.1m) is the forward route, projected in the mid-30s with fewer than 1 in 10 aboard, and Hall (£5.0m) is the defensive one on a run that should produce clean sheets regularly.

City's fixtures open kindly too, and here the map offers a shortcut most managers haven't spotted. Haaland (£15.5m, owned by 7 in 10) leads everything as expected, projected for the biggest haul of anyone in this window — he's the captaincy anchor. But Foden (£7.0m) projects nearly identical points at less than half the price, and fewer than 1 in 10 own him. That's the most valuable pass on the whole map.

Chelsea's attack has smooth roads ahead (Hull, Bournemouth, Everton among them), though their clean-sheet terrain is only average — go attackers, not defenders. Note the order: Rogers (£7.5m) edges ahead of João Pedro and Palmer in our rankings, and only about 2–3 in 10 own him. Forest and United round out the easy-attack list, with Gibbs-White and Fernandes the respective routes — but United's defensive ground is rough, so avoid their backline entirely.

One honest caveat across the board: it's early in the season and everyone here has only two starts banked, so minutes patterns aren't fully settled yet.

The calls for the next six gameweeks: buy Diego Gomez and Wissa as the value routes, buy Foden as the premium-points shortcut if you can't stretch to Haaland, and captain Haaland if you own him. Steer clear of United defenders until the terrain improves.

FPL Fixtures: The Teams To Avoid

The map says: six clubs heading into rough terrain

Aston Villa's next six read like a route nobody would choose: Hull away, Forest, Spurs away, Brentford, Newcastle away, City at Villa Park. Our projections have their best asset over that stretch — Buendía, £6.0m, owned by barely 1 in 10 — pencilled in for under 18 points across six gameweeks. That's a dead end, not a road. Cash at £4.5m projects even lower. If you hold Villa cover, this is the window to move it on.

Coventry face similar weather: City away first, then Brighton, Forest away, Newcastle, Spurs away. Thomas and van Ewijk are £4.0m and popular — van Ewijk sits with about 1 in 10 managers — but the clean-sheet route through that run is narrow. At the price they're tolerable bench bodies; just don't start them expecting shutouts before the terrain eases.

Palace and Fulham are avoid-for-attackers territory too. Nketiah and Wharton top Palace's list but neither clears 19 points over six, and Palace's clean-sheet picture is worse than their attacking one — Mitchell owners should look elsewhere. Fulham's Gonzalo (£6.0m, ~1 in 2 don't even know he exists at 4.5% — call it fewer than 1 in 20 owning him) is the pick of their lot, but with Liverpool and United in the next three, patience beats a purchase.

Spurs are the interesting split on this map. Their attacking route is genuinely nasty — Forest away, then United away and Chelsea away in the run — so leave the forwards alone. But the clean-sheet terrain is merely average, and Van Hecke at £5.0m is the strongest defensive projection on this entire page, a shade over 18 points across the six. Kinsky, owned by about 2 in 10, remains a perfectly serviceable budget keeper.

Liverpool is the one where you hold your nerve. The fixtures — Ipswich away, then Bournemouth away, City at Anfield — are a tough climb, yet Szoboszlai (£7.0m, roughly 4 in 10 own him) and Isak (£9.0m) still project 25–26 points each over the window. Elite players clear rough ground that lesser ones can't. They stay in the squad; they just aren't automatic captains through this patch.

The call for the next six gameweeks: sell any Villa, Palace or Fulham attackers now and reroute the funds; keep Coventry's £4.0m defenders benched, not started; hold Van Hecke as your defensive high ground; and hold — but don't captain — Szoboszlai and Isak until Liverpool's climate clears.

Fixture difficulty — common questions

What is FPL fixture difficulty?

A grade for how hard each of a club's upcoming matches is. Fantasy Premier League publishes a 1-5 rating of its own, but a single number cannot say that a fixture is kind to a forward and cruel to a defender — so ours grades attack and clean sheets separately.

Which FPL teams have the easiest fixtures?

The tables below rank all twenty clubs over the next six gameweeks, kindest run first. The attack table is the one to read for forwards and attacking midfielders; the clean-sheet table for defenders and goalkeepers.

How far ahead should I plan FPL fixtures?

Six gameweeks is the usual planning window and the one used here. Beyond that, form, injuries and rotation move faster than the fixture list does, so a longer view tends to give false confidence rather than more information.

Does a good fixture guarantee points?

No. Fixture ease shifts the odds; it does not decide a match. It is most useful for choosing between two players you already rate, and least useful as a reason to own someone you otherwise would not.
