Who takes the penalties for each Premier League club?
The table above lists every club's designated penalty taker in order — first choice, then the players behind him. It is Fantasy Premier League's own published order, which is the same source the official Scout page uses, refreshed on every build.
What are set-piece takers worth in FPL?
A nailed penalty taker is one of the few genuine edges in the game: a penalty is worth roughly a 0.79 expected goal, so a player on spot-kicks carries several extra goals a season over an identical player who is not. Corners and direct free-kicks are worth less individually but they are where assists come from, which is why a cheap midfielder on both is often better value than his price suggests.
How often do set-piece takers change?
Rarely within a season, and almost always for a reason you can see — a new signing, a change of manager, or a miss. The order here is refreshed every time the site builds, so a change shows up here within hours of Fantasy Premier League recording it.
Does the first-choice taker always take them?
No, and that is the trap. The order says who is designated, not who was on the pitch. If the first choice is substituted, the next man on the list takes it — which is why the players behind him are listed rather than hidden.

The order on this page is Fantasy Premier League’s own, published on every player in the game’s data and refreshed each time this page builds — the same source behind the official Scout page. The price and ownership beside each name are the game’s too. We have added nothing to the ranking and taken nothing away.
Where we go further. For 8 of the 20 clubs we can also tell you who actually takes them, counted from the matches rather than designated in advance — that is the green line above those clubs. It is scored on who stood over the ball, weighted so recent penalties count for more, and a penalty taken while the usual man was off the pitch is not held against him.
For the rest we say nothing, because there is nothing honest to say yet: a club takes about five penalties a season and two are not a record. Those clubs show the designated order alone until they have taken enough for the answer to mean something.
