FPL Transfers: The Most-Bought And Most-Sold Players

This is the version of FPL Transfers: The Most-Bought And Most-Sold Players from 12 October 2026, kept for the record. The picks and the numbers have moved since. The current version →

The call — Ledger check: the money is moving, and it's moving towards Rayan Cherki. The Manchester City midfielder was the day's only genuine rank change in any position — up from fifth to fourth among midfielders, now sitting in about 3 in 10 squads after one of the biggest single-day surges on the book. That's the kind of sustained buying that triggers…

He's not alone on the buy side. De Cuyper added more owners than any defender tracked — the Brighton man is now in roughly 3-4 in 10 squads — and his teammate Groß posted the same surge among midfielders. Brighton assets are being hoovered up in pairs. João Pedro keeps climbing too, now owned by nearly 7 in 10 managers, which at that level is less a bandwagon and more a toll you pay to stay level with the field.

Now the debit column. Bruno Fernandes shed the most owners of any midfielder, and Szoboszlai's exit was nearly as heavy — enough to drop the Liverpool man below Cherki in the pecking order. Isak is also leaking owners, though at about 1.5 in 10 he's hardly template anyway. Here's the accountant's warning: selling into a falling price is how you lock in losses. If Fernandes or Szoboszlai is in your squad and still playing 90 minutes, the crowd leaving doesn't change what's on your pitch — it only changes what's in your bank if you dither past a price drop.

Everything else is quiet. Keepers didn't move a muscle — Raya remains the position's reserve currency at over 4 in 10 — and Haaland ticked along at roughly 7.5 in 10, where he's simply a fixed cost of playing the game.

The call: if Cherki is on your shortlist for this week or next, move today and bank the rise rather than paying it. De Cuyper is the secondary buy for anyone short a Brighton defender. And resist joining the Szoboszlai sell-off out of boredom — if you're genuinely moving him on, do it before the next price change, not after. Timing is the whole trade.
