Chelsea FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid
The call — Chelsea: buy the attack, don't touch the back end Our model has Chelsea as the sharpest attack in the league right now, and the fixtures are practically apologising: HUL (H), BRE (A), BOU (H), EVE (A), then TOT (H) and MUN (H). Four of those six you'd circle in green ink. The value here sits entirely at one end of…
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.
Your name and your FPL team name. That is all it takes, and we will have your answer before you have finished reading this sentence.

Here's the catch a table can't tell you: nobody in this squad is nailed yet. Two starts apiece for João Pedro, Rogers and Palmer is not a rotation-proof CV, it's an audition. When a manager has this many attacking options, someone shiny gets hooked on 60 every week — and someone else doesn't start at all. That's the risk you're pricing in.
Still, the picks rank themselves. João Pedro at £7.7m is the one our model likes most — usually good for 6-7 a week over this run, capable of going massive against the Hulls and Bournemouths, and about 7 in 10 managers already own him, so skipping him is the actual gamble. Rogers at £7.5m is the value angle: projected almost identically, on corners, and only about 1 in 4 own him. Palmer at £9.6m has the penalties and the pedigree, but you're paying two million more for roughly the same points — that's a price built for his best week, not his usual one.
The defence? Our model ranks it 16th of 20, and the clean-sheet fixtures are tough. Lacroix at £6.0m is mid-price money for a back line that leaks — the exact kind of purchase I exist to talk you out of. If you must have Chelsea cover at the back, Colwill at £4.9m is at least priced for what he is, but only pull the trigger once he's starting week on week rather than two from two.
What changes the call: a settled XI. The moment João Pedro or Rogers strings three straight starts together, the minutes worry evaporates and this becomes a no-brainer.
The call: buy into this attack now — João Pedro if you want the safe route, Rogers if you want the same points for less money and less company. Leave the defenders on the shelf.
