Bournemouth FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid
The call — Bournemouth: nobody's nailed, and that's the whole story Here's the number that matters most on this page, and it isn't a price: not a single Bournemouth player has started all of the opening rounds. Four from four-plus is the best anyone's managed. Every name in the table below carries the same asterisk — decent value, if he plays.
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.
Your name and your FPL team name. That is all it takes, and we will have your answer before you have finished reading this sentence.

That said, the value is real. Our model has Bournemouth as one of the better attacks in the league — top half, comfortably — and while the fixtures are only average for goals, they're genuinely kind for clean sheets: after Chelsea away, it's Sunderland, Leeds, Ipswich and Forest in a run any defence should fancy.
The route in is Tavernier, and it's not close. He tops our list because he takes the corners, takes the free kicks, and is third in the penalty queue — for a shade over six million, that's the whole set-piece portfolio at a mid-price. On his day he can go big, hardly anyone owns him (well under 1 in 10), and the model rates him clear of Scott, who costs the same and does less. If you're buying one Bournemouth attacker, it's him. Ignore Rayan — he's the dearest of the mids and the model ranks him last for a reason.
At the back, the fixtures are the argument. Truffert at £5.4m and Petrović at £4.5m are the sensible pair — the keeper especially is proper enabler money for a defence about to face Sunderland, Ipswich and Forest. Owned by almost nobody, both of them.
Now the cold water, because this is my job. None of these players is nailed. Iraola rotates, and a cheap player who plays is worth more than a cheap player who might. Tavernier's set-piece duties are his insurance policy — you don't bench your corner taker often — but the defenders are a genuine coin-flip week to week, and that eats into clean-sheet value fast. If Truffert or Hill drops out of the XI once, the maths gets thin.
So: buy Tavernier — the set pieces make him the one Bournemouth pick whose minutes you can half-trust, and at that price with that little ownership, he's the value on this page. Take Petrović as a cheap second if you need a keeper. Leave the outfield defenders until someone actually locks down a shirt.
