Bournemouth FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid
The call — Bournemouth: seventh-best attack in the league, and hardly anyone's noticed Our model rates Bournemouth's attack the seventh sharpest in the division right now, and every one of the eight names in the table above is starting week in, week out. That second bit matters more than the first. A team full of nailed players in the £4.5m–£6.4m band is exactly…
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.
Your name and your FPL team name. That is all it takes, and we will have your answer before you have finished reading this sentence.

The value here sits in midfield, and it sits with Tavernier. He tops our projections for the club over the next six, and the set-piece table tells you why: he's on corners, he's on free-kicks, and he's in the penalty queue. When one player hoovers up that much of a team's dead-ball work at £6.1m, you're buying a floor as well as a ceiling — he gets his touches in dangerous areas even on the days Bournemouth don't play well. About 1 in 20 managers own him. That won't last if the fixtures do what our model expects.
And the fixtures are the honest caveat — front-loaded ugly. Liverpool at the Vitality and Chelsea away open the run, so nobody should expect returns in the next fortnight. But then it turns: Sunderland (H), Leeds (H) and Ipswich (A) sit inside the same six-game window, and that's where a favourable attacking run earns its name. If you're buying, you're buying for weeks three through six, not week one.
The defence is a shrug — mid-table by our reckoning, average fixtures for clean sheets. Truffert and Hill are startable at £5.5m and Petrović is a perfectly serviceable £4.5m keeper who plays every week, which is the only qualification a £4.5m keeper needs. But nobody's building a strategy around Bournemouth clean sheets against Liverpool and Chelsea. If you want a piece of the back line, wait and see what the first two weeks do to it.
One word of caution on the shinier names lower down: Kluivert and Rayan carry genuine upside, but the model ranks them behind Tavernier and Scott for a reason — in a crowded attacking midfield, someone's coming off on 60, and it's rarely the man taking every corner.
The call: buy Tavernier at £6.1m ahead of the Sunderland game, bench or hold fire through Liverpool and Chelsea, and let the soft middle of this run pay you back. The defenders can wait. The romance picks can wait longer.
