Fulham FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid

This is the version of Fulham FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid from 26 September 2026, kept for the record. The picks and the numbers have moved since. The current version →

The call — Fulham: eight names on the page, and not one of them is nailed on That's the number that matters here. Every Fulham player worth a look — Leno, Bassey, Robinson, the lot — has started four of the games so far, and our model won't call a single one of them a guaranteed starter. One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.

Your name and your FPL team name. That is all it takes, and we will have your answer before you have finished reading this sentence.

No FPL password, ever. We only read what FPL already publishes.

And the shape of the team tells you where any value hides. This is one of the league's bluntest attacks — 18th of 20 in our prediction — staring down a genuinely tough run for goals despite fixtures that read kindly on paper: IPS (A), HUL (H), COV (A), then it turns properly ugly with Villa away, Newcastle at home and City away. Gonzalo at £6.0m and Josh King at £5.5m are priced for what they might do, not what they reliably deliver. When the team around you doesn't score, neither do you. Pass.

The defence is a more honest conversation. Middle of the pack for keeping the ball out, an average run of clean-sheet fixtures, and a whole back line priced at £4.5m. Leno tops our list of Fulham assets and it's not close to a coincidence — a £4.5m keeper who faces plenty of shots is the classic quiet earner, good for a steady return most weeks without ever making your highlights reel. Hardly anyone owns him, about 3 in 10... sorry, about 3 in 100 — call it hardly anyone. Robinson at the same price carries penalty duty, which is a genuinely odd bonus for a budget defender, and Iwobi is on frees, corners and in the penalty conversation at £5.4m if you insist on a Fulham body further forward.

But the minutes problem hangs over all of it. A £4.5m defender who rotates is worth less than a £4.0m one who plays, and until Fulham's teamsheet settles, every one of these picks carries that asterisk.

The call: don't buy into Fulham's attack over the next six — the goals aren't there and the fixtures get worse. If you want a piece, it's Leno at £4.5m as a set-and-forget keeper, and even then wait one more week to see the teamsheet before you pull the trigger. Everything else here is a hold-off.
