Fulham FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid
The call — Fulham: one of the league's bluntest attacks meets one of its ugliest runs Let's not dress this up. Our model has Fulham's attack ranked 18th of 20, and the fixture computer has handed them a run that includes trips to Anfield and a visit from Manchester United. If you're here looking for hauls, you're in the wrong shop.
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.
Your name and your FPL team name. That is all it takes, and we will have your answer before you have finished reading this sentence.

But that's never been the question with Fulham, is it. The question is value — and the value here sits at the cheap end, with players who actually start.
Top of our list is Gonzalo, and it's easy to see why: a £6.0m forward, nailed, and first in the queue for penalties. Hardly anyone owns him — about 1 in 20 — and he's exactly the sort of third striker who lets you spend big elsewhere. He won't blank-proof your week, but he plays every week, and against Fulham's actual fixtures that matters more than promise. He's not going to win you a gameweek; he's going to stop you burning £6m on a bench ornament.
Leno is the other route in. A £4.5m keeper who never gets rotated is the definition of a floor, though I'll be honest with you: our model calls the clean-sheet run tough too, and mid-table defensive numbers don't scream shutouts. He's save points and starts, not a parade of clean sheets. Robinson and Bassey at the same price are fine bench fillers for the same reason — they play — with Robinson carrying a sneaky penalty claim.
Iwobi is the shiny one. He's on everything — free kicks, corners, penalties if the others don't fancy it — and owned by fewer than 1 in 100. Tempting. But our model rates him below Gonzalo and Leno for a reason: a set-piece taker in the league's 18th-best attack is a man taking corners nobody scores from. Don't romance it.
The fixtures do soften. Once Liverpool away and United at home are out of the way, Ipswich, Hull and Coventry are the kind of opponents where even this attack functions.
The call: don't buy into Fulham as a project — the attack's too blunt and the run too rough up front. But if you need a cheap forward who starts every week, Gonzalo at £6.0m is the buy. One in, no more.
