Set-Piece SheetGW4Words: FPL Risky · Numbers: the FFIQ engine
This is the version of FPL Penalty And Set-Piece Takers 2026/27: The Full List from 5 September 2026, kept for the record. The picks and the numbers have moved since. The current version →
The call —Bruno Fernandes takes everything at Manchester United. Penalties, free kicks, corners. All three columns, first name. That's why he's £12.0m and half of you already own him. Nothing to see there. The set-piece sheet is where the value hides, and this season's version has one name worth your money.

One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.

First, the housekeeping. FPL flagged no taker changes this week. But the injury list has bitten some ball-strikers: Mateta (hamstring, back mid-October) holds Palace's penalties, Kroupi Jr (foot) has Bournemouth's, Wright (thigh) has Coventry's, Diarra (hamstring) has Sunderland's. None are buys. And Woltemade — Newcastle's first-choice penalty taker — has gone to Juventus on loan, which nudges Osula up their list. File that away.
Now the owned stuff. Haaland is on City's pens, obviously — £15.5m, roughly 7 in 10 have him, good for a haul most weeks. Palmer takes everything meaningful at Chelsea for £9.6m with about 2 in 10 owning him. Groß is the quiet one — Brighton's pens, free kicks AND corners for £5.5m, projected around six points a week over the next six. Decent. But roughly 1 in 7 own him already. Not for me.
Here's mine: Morgan Gibbs-White, £7.9m, under 1 in 10 own him. Forest's first-choice penalty taker. First-choice on direct free kicks. Every dead ball inside 25 yards goes through him, plus everything in open play. Our projections have him around 36 points over the next six gameweeks — six a week from a player nobody's picking, with penalty upside on top when Forest win one. On his day he goes big, and you'll be one of the few holding him when it happens.
The honest bit: Wood is second on pens, so Gibbs-White isn't untouchable there, and Forest attacks don't produce the volume City or United do. If you want a booster, Saka at £9.5m sits just above the 1-in-10 line and is back on Arsenal's pens alongside Gyökeres — but our model rates Gibbs-White's next six higher, and I trust the order.
My ledger last season had three sub-10% calls that doubled in ownership by Christmas. This is the first entry for this one.
Buy Gibbs-White. Do it before the pens start going in.
