You can guess which one interests me.
The Fernandes case is fine. Every dead ball at Old Trafford goes through him or Mbeumo, and our model has him top of the takers list — around 51 points over the next six weeks. But half the game owns him. You gain nothing on the field. Same with Haaland, first on penalties at City, 7 in 10 ownership. Template picks. Not my department.
Groß is the pick. First on Brighton's penalties, first on free kicks, first on corners. Total monopoly for £5.5m. Our projections have him around 38 points over the next six gameweeks — more than Palmer, more than Szoboszlai, more than Saka, at roughly half their price. He's usually good for a steady 5-6, and any week Brighton win a penalty he can post a proper score from nowhere.
The caveat: he shares penalty duty with David on paper, and a £5.5m midfielder is never a captain option. He's a fifth-mid slot that quietly outpoints your fourth. That's the trade.
If you want the truly ignored one: Saka. First on Arsenal penalties (ahead of Gyökeres), shares free kicks and corners with Rice, and only about 1 in 10 own him at £9.5m. That number is strange for a player of his standing. My ledger says the market corrects these things — I flagged low-owned Palmer at 21.7% this month and I'll take that one to the bank too.
Housekeeping: several takers are injured, so don't chase them. Mateta (Palace pens) is out with a hamstring until mid-October. Kroupi Jr, Osula and Diarra all hold duties and all carry injuries with no return date. Leave them alone.
The call: buy Groß at £5.5m. Cheapest set-piece monopoly in the game, barely owned. If you've got the extra £4m and the stomach, Saka alongside him. But Groß first.
