FPL Penalty And Set-Piece Takers 2026/27: The Full List

The template stuff first, briefly. Haaland (£15.5m) is on penalties at City and about 7 in 10 own him. Fernandes (£12.0m) is owned by nearly 5 in 10. Both project around 48 points over the next six. Fine. You know about them. Palmer (£9.6m) is back on Chelsea's spot kicks with Reece James on free kicks and corners — decent at roughly 2 in 10 owned, projecting 37-ish over six.

None of those interest me much. Here's who does.

Morgan Gibbs-White. £7.9m. Fewer than 1 in 10 own him. He's Forest's first-choice penalty taker and first-choice on direct free kicks. Our model has him for around 35 points over the next six gameweeks — that's Palmer territory at £1.7m cheaper, from a player almost nobody's carrying. Two set-piece roles plus open-play involvement is how a mid-priced midfielder goes big. The honest caveat: Chris Wood is second on pens, so Gibbs-White has to be on the pitch and confident enough to keep the ball — and Forest hauls are streakier than Chelsea ones. Priced in at £7.9m.

Second look: Pascal Groß at £5.5m. Penalties, free kicks and corners at Brighton — the full house — projecting near 35 over six. About 1 in 10 own him. If your budget is tight, he's the cheapest full set-piece monopoly in the game.

Housekeeping on injured takers — do not buy these: Kroupi Jr (Bournemouth pens, foot, no return date), Wright (Coventry pens, thigh, no return date), Mateta (Palace pens, hamstring, back around 11 Oct), and Diarra (Sunderland pens, 75% to play per the club).

I called Groß early last season and he paid out. I'm putting this one in the ledger too.

The call: buy Gibbs-White. Two set-piece roles, sub-1-in-10 owned, £7.9m. That's the trade.
