FPL Budget Picks: The Best FWD Under £7.5
The call — Budget Forwards Under £7.5m: Who's Actually Worth Your Money The sharpest thing in our numbers this week: Wissa at £6.2m projects for around 32 points over the next six gameweeks — nine clear of anyone else in this bracket. That gap isn't noise. That's a different tier of player at nearly the same price.

He starts for Newcastle, he's proven at this level, and the fixtures are about as kind as they come, starting with Hull at St James' Park. About 2 in 10 managers already have him, so he's not exactly a secret, but the queue exists for a reason. At £6.2m he's doing a £7.5m striker's job.
The rest of the bracket, quickly and honestly:
Calvert-Lewin (LEE, £6.0m) — starts, proven, roughly 23 points projected over six. The catch is a tough run after Palace at Elland Road. Still the best of the rest. About 2 in 10 own him.
Barry (EVE, £5.6m) — starts every week, opens with Ipswich at home, and only ~1 in 10 have him. The fixtures turn ugly after that, which caps him.
Evanilson (BOU, £6.0m) — the quiet one. Favourable fixtures overall, nailed minutes, hardly anyone owns him. Liverpool at the Vitality first is the tax you pay before it gets easier.
Brobbey (SUN, £5.8m) — starts, but a very tough run beginning at the Etihad. Pass for now.
Emersonn (IPS, £5.5m) and McBurnie (HUL, £5.5m) — both start, both unproven at this level, both facing rough runs. Cheap enablers if you need the funds, not point-scorers.
Gonzalo (FUL, £6.0m), Marmoush (TOT, £7.0m), Solanke (TOT, £5.9m), Awoniyi (COV, £5.5m), N.Jackson (AVL, £6.5m) — all expected starters, all staring down brutal fixtures. Marmoush at £7.0m projecting 13 points over six is the definition of paying for a name. Don't.
The honest caveat on Wissa: 2 in 10 ownership means he's fast becoming template, so he protects your rank more than he builds it. Fine. At this price you want reliable points first and glory second — and a striker who starts every week with Hull up next is exactly that.
The call: Wissa is the buy in this bracket, no hesitation — usually good for 5-6 a week on this run and capable of more. If you need him a step cheaper or already own him, Calvert-Lewin at £6.0m is the best alternative, with Barry the punt for the brave. Everyone else is either an enabler or a mistake.
