FPL Budget Picks: The Best FWD Under £7.5
The call — Budget Forwards Under £7.5m: Who's Actually Worth Your Money The sharpest thing our numbers say this week: Wissa at £6.2m projects for nearly 32 points over the next six gameweeks — comfortably clear of every forward in this bracket, and he's doing it while a quarter fewer managers own him than own Calvert-Lewin, who projects eight points worse. That's the…

Here's the bracket, in our order of preference. Thirty-three forwards qualified; these are the ones that matter.
Wissa (NEW, £6.2m) — starts every week, favourable fixtures ahead, begins at Leeds. About 1 in 6 own him. The pick, plainly.
Calvert-Lewin (LEE, £6.0m) — nailed starter, but a tough run starting with Newcastle at Elland Road. The 1-in-4 who own him are paying for last month's fixtures, not next month's.
Barry (EVE, £5.6m) — starts, projects almost identically to Calvert-Lewin for £0.4m less, and hardly anyone has him (~1 in 20). Tough fixtures, Spurs away first, but the value's real.
Havertz (ARS, £7.5m) — starts, but a very tough run and the weakest points-per-pound on this list. Pass.
Evanilson (BOU, £6.0m) — starter, average fixtures, Brentford at home next. Fine. Just fine.
Brobbey (SUN, £5.9m) — starts, but Arsenal at home kicks off a brutal run.
McBurnie (HUL, £5.5m) — starts, unproven at this level, Chelsea away. No.
Gonzalo (FUL, £6.0m) — starter but unproven, and Liverpool away is a rough welcome.
Emersonn (IPS, £5.5m) — the interesting punt. Projects a shade over 21 despite tough fixtures, starts, and almost nobody owns him (~1 in 50). Unproven, so eyes open.
Awoniyi, N.Jackson, Marmoush — all expected to start, all facing very tough runs, all projecting too little to justify the slot. Marmoush at £7.0m for barely 12 points over six is the romance tax in one line.
The honest caveat on Wissa: about 1 in 6 already own him, so he's not making you money nobody else has. But he's the rare budget forward where the projection, the minutes and the fixtures all point the same way.
The call: buy Wissa. If you're already covered at Newcastle or want the cheaper route, Barry at £5.6m is the best alternative — same points as the template pick, £0.4m back in your pocket, and he actually plays. That's what value looks like.
