Chelsea FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid
The call — CHELSEA: BUY THE FRONT DOOR, BOARD UP THE BACK Fourth-best attack in our model, third-worst defence. That's Chelsea in one line: a club selling you two very different products at the same counter, and only one of them is worth your money.
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.
Your name and your FPL team name. That is all it takes, and we will have your answer before you have finished reading this sentence.

Start with the good end. The fixture run is kind to anyone with the ball in the final third — Bournemouth, Everton, Spurs, United, Sunderland, Leeds, four of them at Stamford Bridge — and our projections say the attacking output over the next six is genuinely strong. The route in is Rogers. He's the top name on our list by a distance, nailed every week, on free kicks, and projected for roughly six points a game across the run. He can go big on his day, and about 4 in 10 managers already know it — he's template, not a punt. At £7.7m he's priced for what he actually delivers, which is the rarest thing in this game.
If that's spent money, Neto is the quiet version. Nailed, on corners, owned by barely 1 in 10 managers combined with everyone they've ever met, and a full pound cheaper. Less upside than Rogers, but he starts and he's involved. That's a floor.
Now the trap. The defenders look like value — Fofana and Colwill are priced like enablers, Martínez is a £5.0m starting keeper. Cheap, nailed, tidy. The problem is what they're defending behind: our model has Chelsea's back line among the league's leakiest, and the clean-sheet outlook across these six is poor. Spurs and United at home will test that directly. A £4.8m defender who plays every week but concedes every week isn't value, he's a two-point subscription. I say this as the man who usually champions exactly these prices: the floor here isn't minutes, it's goals against, and Chelsea fail that test.
Welbeck isn't starting, so ignore the price tag. Chavarría has one start to his name — same answer.
The call: buy Chelsea's attack, and buy it through Rogers — he's the pick for the run and a legitimate captain option for Bournemouth at home. Neto if the budget's tight. Leave the defence alone entirely, however cheap it looks. Cheap and leaky is just leaky with a discount sticker.
