Bournemouth FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid
The call — Six Bournemouth players start every single week, and the dearest of them costs £6.3m. That's the story here: this isn't a squad you buy for the fireworks, it's one you buy because nobody rotates and nothing is priced for its ceiling.
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.
Your name and your FPL team name. That is all it takes, and we will have your answer before you have finished reading this sentence.

The headline act is Tavernier. He's our top-ranked Bournemouth pick over the next six, nailed on, and he touches every dead ball the club has — free kicks, corners, and he's in the penalty queue too. At £6.1m with fewer than 1 in 10 managers owning him, he's the sort of mid-price midfielder who quietly pays for himself: a solid return most weeks, and the set pieces mean he can nick a double-figure haul out of nowhere. Scott, same price, ranks just behind him and also takes corners — a perfectly sensible second route in, but if you're choosing one, take the man on more of the ball.
The sneakier value sits at the back. Our model rates Bournemouth's defence as merely mid-table on quality, but the fixtures do the heavy lifting — a genuinely kind clean-sheet run once Chelsea away is out of the way: Sunderland, Leeds and Forest at the Vitality, Ipswich away. Truffert at £5.4m and Petrović at £4.5m both start every week, and the keeper in particular is the kind of set-and-forget enabler that funds a premium elsewhere. Hill is practically unowned — barely anyone in 100 teams has him — if you want the same route a touch dearer.
The honest caveat: the attack is decent rather than frightening — seventh-best in our reckoning — and the fixture run for goals is only average, with trips to Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford in there. That's why Evanilson, cheap as he is at £6.0m, sits below both midfielders in our order despite starting every week. He's fine; he's just not where the upside lives in this team.
What changes the call? Minutes, as ever. The whole case rests on Bournemouth's starters actually starting, and right now all of them do. If that holds, this is one of the best pound-for-pound squads to raid in the league.
The call: buy Tavernier — he's the pick of the lot and almost nobody owns him. If you need a defensive enabler, Petrović at £4.5m is the cheapest nailed starter you'll find with a clean-sheet run coming. Get both in before Sunderland at home and let the fixtures do the work.
