FPL AI: Can an AI Pick Your Fantasy Premier League Team?
Short answer: yes, if it is built on real projections and shows its working. A chatbot guessing from last month's articles can't. Ours runs on 34 calculations and an algorithm that keeps updating as the scenario changes, reads your actual squad, and the FFIQ Team's record is published every Gameweek.
Key takeaways
- An FPL AI is only as good as its numbers. Ask where they come from and whether they are scored in public.
- It should read your squad, your bank and your free transfers, not hand everyone the same template.
- It should show its reasoning, so you can disagree with it before the deadline rather than after.
- It never needs your FPL password. Your team ID is enough.
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
Your name and your FPL team name. That is all it takes, and we will have your answer before you have finished reading this sentence.

No FPL password, ever. We only read what FPL already publishes.
What an FPL AI actually does
Who to captain
Every starter you own ranked for this Gameweek, with the case for and against the top two.
Which transfer, and whether a hit pays
One in, one out, priced against your bank, with the points it gains over the next six Gameweeks after the four-point cost.
When to play a chip
Wildcard, Free Hit, Bench Boost and Triple Captain, timed against your own fixture run.
Your mini-league
Who's catching you, the players doing it, and the differentials that would close the gap.
Any question about your team
Ask Ask IQ in plain English; the answer comes from the same numbers as everything else on this site.
Five checks before you trust one
1. It publishes its record, misses included
Picks made before the deadline and scored on FPL's own results afterwards. If a tool can't show you that, you're taking it on faith.
2. It works on your team
The right transfer depends on who you already own, what's in the bank and how many free transfers you have. Advice that ignores those is advice for someone else's team.
3. It shows its working
A number with the reasoning beside it is something you can check. A confident sentence on its own isn't.
4. It never asks for your password
FPL publishes your squad to anyone with your team ID. Nothing more is needed, so nothing more should be asked for.
5. It tells you what's free before you sign up
You should be able to see the projections and try the tool before anyone asks for a card.
What's free, and what isn't
Free, with no account: a projection for every player six Gameweeks ahead, the predicted line-ups, the weekly captain and transfer calls, and the team rater. Premium is the part that works on your own team: Ask IQ, the War Room's move before every deadline, and your mini-leagues.

The questions people ask
Is there a free FPL AI?
Yes. Every player's projection, the predicted line-ups, the weekly calls and the team rater are free on this site with no account. Ask IQ, the assistant that answers questions about your own team, is part of Premium.
Can ChatGPT pick my FPL team?
It can talk about FPL, but a general chatbot doesn't carry this week's projections for every player, and what it knows about form, prices and fixtures can be weeks out of date. It also can't see your squad, your bank or your free transfers unless you type them in. Use it for ideas; check the numbers somewhere that publishes them.
Does an FPL AI need my FPL password?
It shouldn't, and ours never asks. Your team ID is enough: it reads what FPL already publishes about your team and nothing more.
Is an FPL AI better than a tipster?
Only if it can show you its record. A tipster's picks and an AI's picks are both opinions until they are published before the deadline and scored afterwards, misses included. Ours are.
