There is no single best FPL app for every manager. These are the four things worth checking in any of them.
It works on your team, not a template
The right captain and the right transfer depend on who you already own, what is in the bank and how many free transfers you have. Advice that ignores those is advice for someone else's squad.
It shows its reasoning
A captain pick with the case for and against it is something you can check before the deadline. A name on its own is not.
It keeps a public record
Calls published before the deadline and scored on FPL's own results afterwards, misses included.
It never asks for your FPL password
FPL publishes your squad to anyone with your Team ID. Nothing more is needed, so nothing more should be asked for.

Is there an alternative to the official FPL app?
Fantasy Football IQ is the app beside the official game, not a replacement for it. The official Fantasy Premier League game is where you play: it holds your squad and takes your transfers. Ours reads your own squad and tells you who to captain, which transfer to make and when to play a chip, and you make the moves yourself in the official game.
How is it different from the official FPL app?
The official app is the game: you build a squad, set a captain and score points. Fantasy Football IQ is built around the decisions inside that game. It gives you a projected score for every player, an argued captain pick, the transfers worth making, chip timing for your own squad, a season plan and your live rank. We are independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by the Premier League.
Is there an FPL app for Android and iPhone?
On Android, Fantasy Football IQ is on Google Play now. The iPhone app is coming soon. On an iPhone today you can use it in the browser: sign up on the website, link your team and it opens on your squad.
How much does the FPL app cost?
Player projections, predicted line-ups and the team rater are free on this website with no account. Premium is what works on your own squad: Your First Month Free, No Payment Today. After that it's £5.99 a month at the Founding Season price. Card needed, cancel any time.
What does Ask IQ do?
Ask IQ is the AI assistant in the app, for your own FPL team. You ask in plain English, for example whether a player is worth a hit, who the best keeper under £5m is, or how two players compare, and it answers from your actual squad, your bank and your free transfers. It is part of Premium.
Does the FPL app need my FPL password?
No. Your name and your team name is enough to find your squad, or just your Team ID, and we only read what FPL already publishes. Your FPL password is never asked for.
