Crystal Palace away, Arsenal at home, then Ipswich, Brentford, Manchester City and Bournemouth. That's Forest's next six, and our model calls it a very tough run for the attack and not much kinder for the defence. For a side we rank in the bottom third at both ends of the pitch, that's about as uninviting as a page like this gets.

So the honest answer to "should I buy in?" is: mostly, no. But there's a hierarchy worth understanding if you're tempted.

Gibbs-White is the only Forest player priced like a proper asset, and he justifies it the boring way — he starts every week, he's on penalties and free kicks, and when nothing's happening around him he's still the man everything goes through. He's the club's best route to points over this stretch, and about 1 in 6 managers already agree. He's a hold if you own him. At £8.0m, he's not a buy into Arsenal and City — there are easier homes for that money.

The real Forest conversation is at the back, which tells you something in itself. Murillo is the quiet value in the squad: hardly anyone owns him — about 1 in 50 — he starts every week, he's on free kicks, and our model actually likes him more than his dearer full-back team-mates over the next six. Sels is the same story in goal: nailed, cheap, almost unowned. Neither will go massive — clean sheets against this fixture list are a grind, not a given — but as fifth-defender or bench-keeper material, they do the one thing Cheapy cares about: they play.

A word of caution on the shinier names further down. Muñoz and Delap have only started three of five between the lines — that's rotation territory, and a cheap forward who might not start is worth less than nothing. Jair Cunha at £4.5m is the genuine enabler here if you need one: starting most weeks at the bottom of the price list.

The call: hold Gibbs-White if you've got him, but don't buy into Forest this window. If you need a cheap body who actually plays, Murillo or Jair Cunha — and revisit the rest when City and Arsenal are off the fixture list.
