Hull City FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid
The call — Hull's value is all at the back — and that suits me fine Here's the split that decides everything about Hull over the next six: our model has their attack among the league's bluntest — 16th of 20 — staring down a rough run of opponents, while the defence, a respectable mid-table 13th, gets a kind one. So whatever Hull…
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.

The fixtures tell the same story twice. Chelsea and Newcastle away to open is grim for anyone hoping McBurnie or Belloumi turn a profit — the striker has the penalties, the winger's on free kicks and corners, and hardly anyone owns either, but goals for a 16th-ranked attack at Stamford Bridge and St James' Park is romance, and romance is how you end up benching your fourth midfielder in week three. After that it turns: Everton, Brentford and Ipswich at home, Fulham away. That's a run a mid-table defence can keep sheets against.
Which brings us to where the money should go. Egan sits top of our list — 4.1, nailed, started all three so far, projected for roughly 24 points across the six, and only about 1 in 10 managers have him. That's a defender who plays every week at the price of one who doesn't. Ajayi does the same job for the same money if you'd rather. Giles at 4.0 is the sneaky one — nailed, on corners and free kicks, so he's a defender with a second way to score — and Tzolakis at 4.6 is a perfectly sound bench keeper. Slater at 4.5 is the midfield equivalent: starts, takes corners, blanks less than his price suggests.
The honest caveat: the first two fixtures are horrible, so don't expect points until gameweek three of this run, and three starts is a small sample — a new manager's mind can change. But every name above is currently nailed, and nailed is the whole product at this price.
The call: buy in through the defence, not the attack. Egan at 4.1 is the pick — get him in now, absorb Chelsea and Newcastle on your bench if you must, and start him from the Everton game onwards. Leave the forwards alone.
