Groß Vs Dewsbury-Hall: The Better FPL Pick
The call — Groß or Dewsbury-Hall? One of these is £0.6m cheaper and my numbers have him scoring roughly ten points more over the next six gameweeks. This isn't close. Pascal Groß at £6.0m is the pick.
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.

My projections have him on around 39 points between now and six gameweeks' time — call it 6-7 a week — against roughly 28 for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall at £6.6m. You're paying more for less, and the fixtures explain a lot of why.
Brighton's run is kind: Crystal Palace at home first up, then after the Liverpool and Man City away trips, it opens right back up with Brentford at home, Hull away and Newcastle at home. Everton's schedule is the mirror image — Chelsea at home, Arsenal away, Newcastle away, and even the softer middle (Coventry at home) is bookended by Brentford away and Liverpool at home. Dewsbury-Hall would need to out-perform his situation every single week just to keep pace.
The honest case for Dewsbury-Hall is simple: hardly anyone owns him — fewer than 1 in 10 managers — so any haul he does land moves you up the ranks while Groß hauls move everyone together. Groß is approaching template territory at about 4 in 10 owned, so he's protection as much as profit. And yes, those two away games at Anfield and the Etihad are weeks where Groß could easily blank — if you're benching-minded, that's the stretch to plan around.
But a differential only works if the points actually arrive, and my numbers say Everton's fixture wall makes that unlikely in this window. Saving nothing on price for a tougher schedule and a lower weekly return isn't a gamble, it's just a worse pick. Groß's game — set pieces, constant involvement, steady returns — is exactly what you want through a run with four very winnable matches in six.
The call: buy Groß at £6.0m and don't overthink it. If you already own Dewsbury-Hall, sell — the £0.6m you free up is a bonus on top of the upgrade. Start Groß every week of this run bar, at most, the City away trip.
