The call — Price Watch: Beat the De Cuyper Rise Tonight — and Let Hinshelwood Bleed Nearly 300,000 managers have bought De Cuyper on a net basis, and money like that doesn't sit still. He's the most-moved player on tonight's ledger, already sitting in just over 1 in 10 squads, and everything about that transfer flow says a £0.1m rise is likely before…

He's not alone. Ajayi (257,000 net buys, fewer than 1 in 10 squads), M.Sangaré (130,000 net, just over 1 in 10 own him already) and Hall (180,000 net) are all pressing against tonight's threshold. Further down, Tzolakis, Egan, Dedić and Yalcouyé are moving too — Yalcouyé is owned by barely anyone, so 51,000 net buys on a tiny base is exactly the kind of surge that catches the price mechanism's eye.

Now the honest bit from the accountant's chair: a £0.1m rise is not a reason to buy a player. It's a reason to buy him *tonight rather than tomorrow* if he was already on your shortlist. Chasing rises you weren't planning is how squads fill up with £4.5m dead weight that cost you a transfer to acquire and another to shift. The ledger punishes that twice.

On the other side of the book, Hinshelwood is the standout faller — nearly 48,000 net sales, and the only exit queue with real volume behind it. Ayari's 6,500 net sales might not be enough tonight. The rest — Saliba, Martinelli, Chalobah and company — are these players' low-owned versions drifting on tiny numbers, likely fallers but hardly market-moving for your squad.

The fallers are your friend. If Hinshelwood is on your buy list, do nothing — every drop makes him £0.1m cheaper. If he's in your squad and you're selling anyway, tonight's the deadline to bank your current selling price.

The call: if De Cuyper, Ajayi or M.Sangaré were already in your transfer plans, move before tonight's deadline and pocket the £0.1m — De Cuyper first, his rise looks the closest thing to nailed on this list offers. Everyone else: sit on your hands, let Hinshelwood fall, and buy the dip. The ledger rewards patience far more often than panic.
