FPL Injury News: The Players Returning Within A Week
The call — Six players carry dated returns from FPL this week. None is available for the next round. All six sit at zero per cent for it. The dates first. Burn (NEW, £4.9m) is listed with an ankle injury, expected back 14 September — two days away. Caicedo (CHE, £5.4m) has a calf injury, back 18 September. Jensen (BRE, £5.4m), Palestra (CHE…
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.

Now the decision. Our projections separate one name from the rest. Caicedo projects around 4 points a week over the next six gameweeks once he returns — the kind of pick that gets you 4-5 most weeks rather than hauls. The other five project at 2 points a week or less across the same window. Burn, back soonest, projects barely more than a point a game. Jensen, Palestra, Emegha and Baleba project lower still. On those numbers, five of the six are not FPL assets right now. That is the plain reading.
The other side. Caicedo will not play the next round — buying him now means carrying a blank. Players coming back from calf injuries often get managed minutes in their first weeks; expect that here. And hardly anyone owns him — fewer than 2 in 100 managers — so there is no template pressure forcing your hand.
The call the facts force: Burn sits until 14 September and is not worth a move at his projection. Jensen, Palestra, Emegha and Baleba are not worth a move at all. Caicedo is the one name to plan for — line him up for the gameweek after next, after his 18 September return date, not before. Do not buy him this week. Buy him once he is back.
