The call — Budget Forwards Under £9.5m: One Man Stands Alone Here's the whole story in one line: Wissa costs £6.2m, has the kindest run of fixtures in this entire price bracket, and our projections have him near 30 points over the next six weeks. Nobody else on this list gets close on both counts.

Thirty-three forwards qualify under £9.5m. Let's run the ones that matter, in our order of preference.

Wissa (NEW, £6.2m) — Coventry away first, then a very kind run. About 2 in 10 own him. That's the pick, plainly.

Isak (LIV, £9.1m) — the class act, but City at home next and a brutal run after. Usually good for a haul on his day, and about 2 in 10 have him. You're paying £2.9m more for fewer projected points. That's not value, that's romance.

Calvert-Lewin (LEE, £6.0m) — the most-owned man here at roughly 1 in 4, but Arsenal away next and a very tough run. The crowd is holding the wrong horse.

Thiago (BRE, £7.8m) — Villa away, tough fixtures, and only about 1 in 10 own him for a reason. £7.8m for maybe 20 points over six? Pass.

Barry (EVE, £5.7m) — Hull away is fine; what follows isn't. A decent cheap holding option, nothing more.

Havertz (ARS, £7.6m) — Leeds at home looks nice, but the run after is grim for the price.

Brobbey (SUN, £5.7m) — Brighton at home, very tough fixtures. Bench fodder that plays, which counts for something.

Emersonn (IPS, £5.5m) — projects surprisingly well, but he's unproven at this level and the fixtures are hard. That's two ifs too many for me.

Evanilson (BOU, £6.0m) — Chelsea away, average run, barely owned. Watchlist.

Gonzalo (FUL, £6.0m) and McBurnie (HUL, £5.5m) — unproven, tough runs. No.

Marmoush (TOT, £7.0m) — United away and the weakest projection here per pound spent. Avoid.

The maths writes itself. Wissa out-projects a forward £2.9m dearer, has the only genuinely kind fixture run in the bracket, and only 2 in 10 managers are on him yet. The saved cash funds a premium somewhere else in your side — which is the entire point of this price band.

The call: buy Wissa. If you must spend up, Isak is the best alternative — just know you're paying nearly £3m extra to face City first. I know which one I'm signing.
