Everton FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid
The call — EVERTON: THE VALUE'S ALL AT THE BACK Everton's defence ranks around the top eight in the league by our numbers. Their attack sits down around 15th, and the fixtures for the front end are ugly — Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal all inside the next six. So the honest question isn't "should you buy Everton" — it's "which end…
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for six gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.
Your name and your FPL team name. That is all it takes, and we will have your answer before you have finished reading this sentence.

Buy the back. Tarkowski is the pick at £6.0m — nailed, never rotated, the sort of centre-half who plays 90 every week whether Everton are winning or clinging on. Our model has him around 25 points over the next six, which for a set-and-forget defender is proper money, and only about 1 in 10 managers own him. If £6.0m is too rich, Mykolenko at £4.5m projects nearly the same and almost nobody has him — that's the enabler that pays for your premiums elsewhere, and he starts every week. Pickford's a fine £5.5m keeper too, though the clean-sheet run is only average, so temper the dreams.
The attack is where I'd keep the wallet shut. Dewsbury-Hall and Barry both project respectably — Barry's on penalties at £5.5m, which is genuinely interesting for the price — but you're asking a 15th-ranked attack to score against United, Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal. Ipswich at home and Hull away are the two soft spots, and two decent fixtures out of six doesn't fund a transfer. If Barry banks a penalty or two he'll look clever; that's a coin you flip, not a plan. Garner takes every free kick and corner going, but our model ranks him behind both, and set pieces without goals is how you end up with a £6.0m midfielder scoring twos.
The caveat on the defence: "average" clean-sheet fixtures means exactly that. Ipswich and Hull are shut-out games; Arsenal away is not. You're buying a solid floor, not weekly hauls.
The call: buy Tarkowski if the budget's there, Mykolenko if it isn't — both start, both play 90, both are priced below what they give you. Leave the Everton attackers on the shelf until the fixtures turn.
