Coventry City FPL: Who To Own, Captain And Avoid
The call — Coventry's value is all at one end of the pitch, and it's not the end that scores. Our model has this attack ranked dead last in the league — 20th of 20 — and the run coming up (Forest away, Newcastle at home, Spurs away) does it no favours. Awoniyi sits bottom of our list for a reason: he's the…

The defence is a different conversation. Ninth-meanest in our prediction, and the fixture run flips completely when you're asking about clean sheets rather than goals — Fulham, Sunderland and Everton in that stretch is a genuinely kind run for shutouts. Which is exactly the profile a £4.0m defender should have: you're not paying for hauls, you're paying for a bloke who starts every week and clears the extra-defending points line more often than not.
Van Ewijk is our pick of them — top of our list, nailed, started every game so far, and already owned by about 1 in 10 managers, so the secret is half out. Bobby Thomas is the same price and nearly the same player for these purposes. Dasilva and Amenda are the versions almost nobody owns if you fancy going against the room, and Rushworth at £4.5m is a perfectly sensible bench keeper for the same clean-sheet logic. Pinnock is the one to skip — one start against three for the others, and at this price bracket minutes are the whole product.
The honest caveat: three starts is three starts. We're projecting off a small sample, and a promoted side's back line can get reshuffled the first time it ships four. The Forest and Spurs away trips could be ugly, so you're really buying for the home block that follows.
The call: van Ewijk in at £4.0m — he's the rare enabler who actually plays, and he funds a premium somewhere useful. Leave the Coventry attack alone entirely; there's nothing there worth the squad slot.
