Triple Captain: the route runs through GW11
The map is unambiguous: Haaland at home to Fulham in Gameweek 11 is the highest ground on the first-half terrain. Our projections have him good for around 10–11 points that week — triple it and you're looking at a haul north of 32, with the chip itself adding roughly 11 points over simply handing him the armband as normal. Nothing else on the route comes close.
That matters because of what the chip wants: a top premium, at home, against weak opposition, with near-certain 80-plus minutes. FUL (H) at the Etihad ticks every box. And this is double what any alternative window offers — the next-best routes add only around five points apiece.
Those alternatives deserve a fair hearing, because some of you don't own Haaland. For Saka owners, it's an even choice: GW8 and GW10 — HUL (H) at the Emirates — sit within 0.4 points of each other. This week you know he's fit for the match; later you can't know what will happen. The same applies to Bruno Fernandes, where GW8 at home to Bournemouth and GW10 are within half a point, and to Isak, whose GW8 trip out at Anfield against Brighton and GW13 window are separated by just 0.4. In all three cases the terrain is flat — pick whichever suits your nerve, knowing the fit-now certainty is worth as much as anything the fixture list promises later.
The honest caveat on waiting for GW11: three gameweeks is enough time for a knock, a rest, or a Fulham side that travels better than expected. That's weather, though, not climate — and the climate says a premium at home to a side like Fulham is exactly the pass this chip was built for. One planning note: all first-half chips expire at the Gameweek 19 deadline, so there's no hoarding past Christmas. GW11 leaves plenty of margin before that cliff edge.
The call: if you own Haaland, hold the Triple Captain for Gameweek 11 and play it on him against Fulham at the Etihad — that window is worth double any other on the map. If you don't own him and won't buy, the Saka, Fernandes and Isak routes are genuinely even between now and their later windows; take the week you trust, and don't agonise over half a point.
