The report

He costs £5.0m and about 1 in 100 managers own him. He played 90 minutes. That is a keeper delivering a haul at a starter's price with almost no one aboard.

Hull's defence paid out too. Giles (£4.0m, owned by about 1 in 100) took eight points with two bonus over 90 minutes. Mendy (£4.0m, about 1 in 20) also took eight, with a defensive-contribution return in his 70 minutes. Ajayi, the most-owned Hull defender at close to 1 in 10, banked five points plus a yellow card. Tzolakis (£4.6m, just under 1 in 10) made one save and took six.

Villa's back line went home with returns across the board: Mings seven points in 90 minutes, Maatsen seven in 74, Lindelöf six in 90, Cash six in 84. All four are priced at £4.5m. Ownership on Mings, Maatsen and Lindelöf sits near 1 in 100 or lower. Cash is the most held at about 1 in 14.

The negatives. Garnacho played 15 minutes off the bench for one point. Thomas came off after 27 minutes for Hull. Neither carries meaningful ownership, so few squads felt it. There were no owned blanks of note; no heavily-held attacker was burned here because no heavily-held attacker played.

What this forces. Suzuki is a £5.0m keeper who played 90 minutes, kept a clean sheet, made four saves and took maximum bonus, with next to no ownership. Giles and Mendy are £4.0m defenders who started and returned. The facts say these are the cheapest routes to points that produced this week. If you need a budget keeper, Suzuki is the buy. If you need a £4.0m defender who plays, Giles and Mendy both did. Buy Suzuki; the price and the minutes make the case for you.

The Fantasy Football IQ Show

Suzuki on the show

Newcastle 0-1 Aston Villa. Manzambi scored the only goal from a Joao Gomes assist and took the max bonus for 11 FPL points. It was Villa's first clean sheet since Gameweek 3: Lindelöf got 9 with his defensive contribution and Suzuki 8. FPL Brains says Manzambi is a buy if he's fit. He has returned in all three of his starts, 29 points, but FPL has him at 75% with a calf knock, so wait for the team news before Man City at home. FPL Risky's punt is Lindelöf: 4.5m, seven starts from seven, 18.9 projected over the next six and almost nobody owns him.
