The call —Set-Piece Sheet: One Name Worth the LedgerPascal Groß takes everything at Brighton. Penalties, direct free kicks, corners. All three, first choice. At £5.6m he's the cheapest player on this sheet with full dead-ball duty, and our projections have him top of the lot over the next six — around 46 points. Good pick. But nearly 2 in 10 already…

The quick housekeeping first. No taker changes flagged this week — the orders you knew still stand. Fernandes runs all three roles at United, Palmer's on Chelsea pens, Haaland keeps City's. All fine, all owned by everyone. Fernandes sits with roughly 4 in 10 managers, Haaland north of 7 in 10. Not my business.
A word on the walking wounded, because holding a role means nothing from the treatment table: Mateta (hamstring, back mid-October) still holds Palace pens, Kroupi Jr (foot, early November) holds Bournemouth's, and Osula (foot), Wright (thigh) and Diarra (hamstring) are all out with no date. Don't touch any of them. People will. Don't.
Now the actual pick. IgorThiago, Brentford, £7.9m, owned by fewer than 1 in 10. First on penalties. Brentford win penalties. Our model has him around 30 points over the next six — a steady 5 a week with the spot-kick padding, and a striker on pens can go massive any given Saturday. One goal from open play plus a converted pen and you've got a haul nobody else in your mini-league has.
The honest bit: he's not on corners or free kicks, so the floor is a striker's floor — blank if Brentford don't score. And the projection puts him sixth on this sheet, not first. I'm not pretending otherwise. But the five above him are template or near enough, and template picks don't win you anything. They keep you level.
My ledger's been decent on this sort of call — the penalty-taking forward under 1 in 10 owned is the exact profile I backed last season and it paid twice. Same logic. Same price band.
Groß if you want safe. Thiago if you want to move. Buy Thiago.
