FPL Price Changes: Last Night's Risers And Fallers — 18 Sep

This is the GW6 edition, kept for the record. The always-current version lives at fantasyfootballiq.app/fpl-price-changes/.

The call — Three up, ten down: overnight price moves Haaland went up overnight. £15.5m to £15.6m. About 7 in 10 managers own him already, so the rise touches almost everyone — either you have him at the old price, or he now costs a tenth more.

Two others climbed. Ødegaard moved from £6.7m to £6.8m — about 2 in 10 own him. Bogle rose from £4.5m to £4.6m, owned by fewer than 1 in 10.

The fallers list runs longer. Thiago dropped from £7.9m to £7.8m, with roughly 1 in 10 holding him. Pedro Porro fell to £5.4m. Wirtz went from £7.4m to £7.3m. Foden dropped to £6.9m. Wilson (Leeds) to £6.2m. Frimpong to £5.3m. Further down: Furlong to £3.9m, Damsgaard to £5.4m, Shepherd to £4.4m, Gallagher to £5.3m.

What it means if you hold them

Haaland and Ødegaard owners bank the value. Nothing to do. Bogle owners the same.

Thiago and Porro owners face the standard maths. Sell now and you keep half the rise you never had — you bought at the old price, the sale price has moved down, so the profit margin shrinks. If a transfer out was already planned, the drop confirms the market agrees with you. If not, one tenth of a million changes nothing about the player.

Wirtz sits at £7.3m with 6 in 10 fewer owners than Thiago — about 6 in 100 fewer, to be exact: 6 in 100 own him. Foden at £6.9m is owned by 2 in 100.

The call

Chasing Haaland at £15.6m costs a tenth more than yesterday. The price is the price. If your plan included him, execute it — 7 in 10 managers already did, and every week you wait, you play against him rather than with him. Ødegaard at £6.8m is the same logic on a smaller scale: the plan does not change because the price moved a tenth.

On the way down: Thiago, Porro and Wirtz owners who were staying put should stay put — a £0.1m drop is not a reason to sell a player. Owners who were already leaving should leave now, before the sale price erodes further.

Buy Haaland if he was your plan. Hold the fallers unless you were selling anyway — in which case, sell today.
