These are the FPL price changes from the night of Wed 7 Oct 2026. Tonight’s live price board →

The call — Greaves dropped 0.1m overnight. The Ipswich defender now costs 3.9m, down from 4.0m. He was the only player of note to move. Manchester City's McAidoo fell with him, from 4.5m to 4.4m. No player rose. Start with Greaves. Roughly 1 in 100 managers own him. That tells you what the market thinks: he is a squad-filler, not a starter in…

McAidoo is a different case. He is owned by about 1 in 1,000 managers. A Manchester City defender priced at 4.4m with ownership that low is not playing. The market is not wrong here. He fell because the handful of managers who bought him at the start have given up. There is no case to chase him at 4.4m. A price cut does not create minutes.

What this round of changes means in practice: nothing moved up, so nobody is racing a rise tonight. The pressure is all on holders. If Greaves or McAidoo sits in your squad and you plan to move him on, the cost of waiting just went up by 0.1m. If either sits in your plans as a 3.9m or 4.4m enabler, the question is not price — it is whether he plays. Greaves at least belongs to a side where he can start. McAidoo does not have that case.

The calls. Greaves: buy only if you need a 3.9m defender to fill a slot and spend elsewhere — at that price he does his job by existing. McAidoo: sell if you hold, avoid if you don't. A defender nobody owns, at a club where he does not play, got cheaper. He is still not worth 4.4m. Let him go.
