FPL Gameweek 7: Injuries & News Update
This is the team news as it stood on this date. The latest FPL team news →
The call — GW7 Team News: Szoboszlai Doubt Leads the List, Isak Still Out Szoboszlai carries a hamstring problem into GW7. Liverpool logged it on 11 October: a 75% chance of playing. About 3 in 10 managers own him at £6.9m. That is the biggest flag of the week by ownership.
What has not being with FFIQ cost you this season?
One squad, picked before a ball was kicked and run for five gameweeks on three transfers — no hits taken. Scored on FPL’s own results.

Three more sit at 75%. Schade (£6.2m, shoulder, roughly 1.5 in 10 own him) was flagged by Brentford on 10 October. James (£5.3m, unspecified, about 1 in 2 of every ten managers) was flagged by Chelsea the same day. Shaw (£4.3m, unspecified) was flagged by Manchester United on 12 October. Mykolenko (£4.6m, leg) has carried his 75% tag since 1 October per Everton.
The ruled-out group is longer. Liverpool confirm Isak (£9.0m, thigh, no return date) and Gakpo (£7.1m, ankle, no return date) remain out. About 1.5 in 10 still hold Isak. Scott is out for Bournemouth with a thigh injury, no return date. Pedro Porro is out for Tottenham, hamstring, no return date. Elanga is out for Newcastle, no return date. Three have dates: Šeško is expected back 18 October per Manchester United, Tzolis on 24 October per Arsenal, Brobbey on 25 October per Sunderland.
One is gone for good. Watkins joined Al Hilal permanently on 1 September. He cannot score another FPL point. Around 2 in 10 of every hundred — call it a small rump of squads — still carry the £7.8m dead weight.
The calls, as the facts force them:
- Sell Watkins now. He has left the league. Holding him is a wasted slot.
- Sell or bench Isak and Gakpo. No return date from Liverpool. Isak at £9.0m is too much money to park.
- Bench Scott, Pedro Porro, Elanga. No return dates. Move them on if a transfer is free.
- Hold Šeško, Tzolis, Brobbey if you own them. Returns are dated within two weeks.
- Start the 75% group — Szoboszlai, Schade, James, Shaw, Mykolenko. A 75% flag is a probable starter. Set your bench order so a playing substitute covers each one. Do not captain any of them.
