FPL Price Changes: Last Night's Risers And Fallers — 4 Sep
The call — Calafiori is 5.7m this morning. Gakpo is 7.1m. Overnight moves. Two up, ten down. Here is the ledger. The risers. Calafiori went from 5.6m to 5.7m. About 4 in 10 managers own him. That is template territory, and the price now reflects it. Anyone holding banks 0.1m of value. Anyone still chasing pays more today than yesterday.
Gakpo rose from 7.0m to 7.1m. About 1 in 10 own him. Fewer holders, same 0.1m bump.
The fallers. McGinn led the drops, 5.5m to 5.4m, owned by about 1 in 4 of the managers who own Calafiori — call it 1 in 40 overall. Matheus Nunes fell from 6.0m to 5.9m. Yarmoliuk went to 4.9m. Diomande, Ayari, Bergvall, Torp and Mason-Clark all dropped from 5.5m to 5.4m. Madueke fell from 6.4m to 6.3m. Florentino went to 4.9m.
Look at the ownership on that list. Not one faller is held by even 1 in 40 managers. Bergvall and Madueke sit at roughly 1 in 500. These are prices moving because nobody is buying, not because holders are bailing. If you own one of them, the 0.1m loss is the market telling you what you already suspected: you are in a minority position that the crowd has no interest in joining.
What it means. The Calafiori move is the one with consequences. He is a defender owned by close to half the game. His price is now a moving target. Every day you wait to buy him, the entry cost can rise again — that is not a prediction, that is how the mechanism works when 4 in 10 managers already hold and more keep buying.
Gakpo is the quieter version of the same story. Low ownership, rising price. Holders keep him. Buyers pay 7.1m now.
The call. If Calafiori was already in your transfer plans, buy him at 5.7m — waiting has a cost and it is printed above. Hold Gakpo if you own him. And if you are carrying McGinn, Madueke or any name on that fallers list, the market has spoken: sell into a player the game is actually buying.
