Leeds United Vs Newcastle United FPL: Who Hauled And What It Means

The call — Leeds 4-1 Newcastle: Bogle hauls, Wissa and Hall blank Jayden Bogle scored, played 82 minutes and took all three bonus points at Elland Road on 14 September. That is 15 points for a £4.5m defender. Hardly anyone owns him — around 2 in every 100 managers. That is the story of Gameweek 4's Monday fixture.

Leeds put four past Newcastle. Calvert-Lewin scored one, assisted another and picked up a yellow card in his 77 minutes. Ten points at £6.0m. About 2 in 10 managers own him. They hold. Okafor scored too — nine points at £5.8m, owned by almost nobody. Muharemović and Ampadu each played 90 minutes and each supplied an assist for seven points. Tanaka added an assist off 71 minutes for six.

No clean sheet, though. Touré came off the Newcastle bench and scored inside his 33 minutes. So the Leeds defenders were paid for attacking returns, not shut-outs.

Now the other side of the ledger. Wissa played all 90 minutes for Newcastle and returned two points. He costs £6.2m and sits in roughly 2 in 10 squads. Lewis Hall played all 90 and returned zero — the goals conceded wiped his appearance points. He is £5.2m and owned by just under 2 in 10. Those are the two blanks that hit the template this week. One match does not force a sale. Owners of both hold and watch the next team sheet.

Two Leeds notes for the deadline. Wilson, £6.3m, lasted 18 minutes before coming off. Aaronson also went off on 18 minutes. Neither returned. Owners of Wilson should check the club's next update before committing a transfer either way.

The decision, then. Calvert-Lewin: hold — a goal, an assist and 10 points settle it. Wissa and Hall: hold, one blank is not a case. Bogle: a goal, maximum bonus and a £4.5m price tag, owned by almost no one. If you need a defender at that price, Bogle is the buy.
