LiveFPL: What It Does And Who It's For

Short answer: LiveFPL is a free FPL tool offering live rank, leagues, a price predictor, a planner and a ticker. An optional subscription removes the ads. It has no AI chat about your team and doesn't publish accuracy, so many managers pair it with a projections or advice tool.

Key takeaways

  1. Use LiveFPL for live rank, leagues, price predictions, planning and the ticker, all free to use.
  2. Don't expect AI chat about your team from it. LiveFPL's own listing says no.
  3. Check whether a tool publishes its record before trusting its picks. LiveFPL doesn't publish accuracy.
  4. Pair LiveFPL with one tool for decisions rather than paying for several overlapping ones.
  5. Your FPL team ID is enough for any tool. Never hand over your FPL password.

Your name and your FPL team name. That is all it takes, and we will have your answer before you have finished reading this sentence.

No FPL password, ever. We only read what FPL already publishes.

What LiveFPL is

LiveFPL is a tool built around watching your Fantasy Premier League season as it happens. Its listing describes it as a live rank, price predictor, planner and ticker, and all of those are free.

It is not a tool that tells you what to do with your team in the way an advice platform does. It is better thought of as a dashboard: it shows you where you stand and helps you plan, and you make the calls yourself.

What you get for free

The free side of LiveFPL covers a lot of ground. Going by what is listed, you get:

  • Live rank
  • Leagues
  • Price predictor
  • Planner
  • Ticker

There is also an optional subscription, and the listing says what it is for: removing ads. So the paid side is about a cleaner screen, not about unlocking a different set of features, at least as far as we can see from what is published. We can't tell you a price for it, because we haven't got one to quote.

Fantasy Premier League itself is free to play, so a free companion tool fits neatly alongside it.

What LiveFPL doesn't do

Two things are worth knowing before you settle on it. First, there is no AI chat about your team. You can't type in a question about your own squad and get an answer back.

Second, LiveFPL doesn't publish accuracy. That doesn't mean anything bad on its own, because it is a tool for tracking and planning rather than one that makes picks. But if you are looking for someone to hand you captain, transfer and chip calls, you will want to ask how those calls have actually performed, and LiveFPL gives you nothing to judge that by.

How the alternatives compare

Here is how the other tools in this space look, with details as of 25 October 2026.

  • Fantasy Football Scout: articles, community, podcast and data tools. The free Assistant Scout level gives you key articles, news, community, basic fixture data and a team rating. Chief Scout is £3.25 a month, billed annually. It suits people who like to read and follow a community.
  • Fantasy Football Hub: an AI and expert platform with AI transfers, a team rating, a planner and podcasts. The free part is the AI team rating, and it asks for your email. Starter is £2.49 a month, billed yearly, which is a 50%-off sale price.
  • FPL Review: projections, a planner and a transfer solver. The free projection model in the planner costs nothing, and paid access goes through Patreon. It suits managers who want to dig into projections.
  • Fantasy Football Fix: data tools, AI transfers, ChatFPL and articles. A free account is available, and Premium is £3.48 a month, billed yearly, a limited-time price. It is the one here that lists AI chat about your team (ChatFPL).

None of the four publishes accuracy as a figure. FPL Review says it isn't published as a figure; Scout, Hub, Fix and LiveFPL say not published.

What to pair LiveFPL with

Because LiveFPL is free and focused on tracking, it sits comfortably next to something that helps you decide. The question is which kind of help you want.

If you want reading and discussion, Scout is the natural partner. If you want projections and a solver, FPL Review fits. If you want AI chat about your own squad, Fantasy Football Fix lists it. And if you want a clear move for your team before each deadline, that is where FFIQ comes in.

One practical point: FPL publishes every manager's picks only after the deadline passes. So between deadlines, any tool, LiveFPL included, reads the squad FPL last locked.

Where FFIQ fits

FFIQ gives you projections for every player and the move for your own team before every deadline: captain, transfers, chips and line-up. It also has Ask IQ, an AI you can ask anything about your team. Its method, in the words we use for it: every call combines 34 calculations with an algorithm that keeps updating as the scenario changes.

Some of it is free without an account: a projection for every player six gameweeks ahead, predicted line-ups, the weekly captain and transfer calls, and a free team rater called FPL Rate My Team. Premium adds your move before every deadline in the War Room, IQ for any question about your team, your mini-leagues (who's beating you and how to catch them), and price-rise alerts for your players the night before.

We aren't the cheapest option here. Premium is £5.99 a month (the Founding Season price, 60% off the standard £14.99), or £59.99 a year. The offer is your first month free, with a card needed and cancel any time. We publish our record too: picks made before each deadline and scored on FPL's results, misses included. We never ask for your FPL password; your team ID is enough. And if you are a Scout member, you can run FFIQ alongside your Scout membership.

How to choose

If all you want is to watch your rank, check price changes and plan ahead, LiveFPL is likely enough, and the free features cover it. Add the ad-free subscription only if the ads bother you.

If you find yourself stuck on decisions, add one tool for that, not several. Try a free level first, such as Scout's Assistant Scout, Hub's team rating or a free account at Fix. FFIQ's free tools need no account at all.

For a wider comparison, our best FPL tools page sets them out side by side.

Questions managers ask

The questions people ask

Is LiveFPL free?

Yes. Live rank, leagues, price predictor, planner and ticker are all free. There is an optional subscription, which removes ads.

Does LiveFPL have AI chat about your team?

No. Its listing says it doesn't offer AI chat about your team. Fantasy Football Fix lists ChatFPL, and FFIQ has Ask IQ.

Does LiveFPL publish how accurate it is?

No, accuracy is not published. FFIQ publishes its record: picks made before each deadline and scored on FPL's results, misses included.

Do I need to give my FPL password to use these tools?

No. No tool needs your FPL password to read your team, because your team ID is enough. It is the number in the web address of your Points page on the official FPL site.

Can I use LiveFPL alongside another tool?

Yes, and many managers do. LiveFPL covers tracking and planning, so you can add a tool for decisions. A Scout member can also run FFIQ alongside their Scout membership.
