How To Find Your FPL Team ID (And What You Can Do With It)

Short answer: Your FPL team ID is the number in the web address of your Points page on the official FPL site. Log in, open Points, and read the number from the address. Paste it into any tool to see your team. No tool needs your password.

Key takeaways

  1. Open your Points page on the official FPL site and copy the number from the web address.
  2. Never hand over your FPL password. The team ID is enough for any tool to read your team.
  3. Between deadlines, tools see the squad FPL last locked, so expect changes to appear after the deadline.
  4. Try the free options first: LiveFPL, FPL Review, Fantasy Football Hub's team rating or FFIQ's team rater.
  5. Pick a paid tool only once you know which job you want done, such as captaincy, planning or AI chat.

Your name and your FPL team name. That is all it takes, and we will have your answer before you have finished reading this sentence.

No FPL password, ever. We only read what FPL already publishes.

Where to find your FPL team ID

Your team ID is the number that sits in the web address of your Points page on the official FPL site. Log in, open your Points page, and look at the address at the top of your browser. The number in it is your ID.

On a computer, that's all there is to it. Copy the number and keep it somewhere handy, like a note on your phone, because you'll be asked for it by most FPL tools.

On a phone, the idea is exactly the same: open the Points page on the official FPL site in your browser and read the number from the address. If you struggle to see the full address on a small screen, it's often easiest to do this once on a computer and save the number.

Do you need your password? No

No tool needs your FPL password to read your team. The team ID is enough. If a site asks for your password to show you your squad, that's a good reason to stop and think.

Fantasy Premier League is free to play, and your ID is simply a way of pointing a tool at your team. It's worth treating your password as private and sharing only the number.

FFIQ follows the same line: it never asks for your FPL password, and your team ID is enough.

Why your team may look out of date

FPL publishes every manager's picks only after the deadline passes. That means between deadlines, any tool reads the squad FPL last locked, not the changes you've made since.

So if you've just made a transfer and a tool still shows your old player, nothing is broken. It will catch up once the deadline passes. It's worth remembering when you compare what two different tools say about your team on a Thursday evening.

It also helps with planning. Each gameweek you get free transfers, and extra transfers cost four points each, so it's wise to treat any tool's view of your squad as a starting point and check it against your actual plans.

What free tools can do with your ID

Once you've got your number, there's a fair amount you can do without paying anything. Here is what each of the tools we looked at offers for free, as of 25 October 2026:

  • Fantasy Football Scout: Assistant Scout gives you key articles, news, community, basic fixture data and a team rating. Chief Scout is £3.25 a month, billed annually.
  • Fantasy Football Hub: an AI team rating (an email is needed). Paid plans start with Starter at £2.49 a month, billed yearly, which is a 50%-off sale price.
  • FPL Review: the free projection model in the planner. Paid access is through Patreon.
  • LiveFPL: live rank, leagues, price predictor, planner and ticker. There's an optional subscription to remove ads.
  • Fantasy Football Fix: a free account. Premium is £3.48 a month, billed yearly, which is a limited-time price.

A free team rating is a good first thing to try with your ID, because it shows you straight away whether a tool is reading your squad correctly.

Which tool suits whom

Fantasy Football Scout suits you if you like reading and a lively community. It describes itself as articles, community, podcast and data tools. It doesn't list an AI chat about your team, and it doesn't publish an accuracy figure.

Fantasy Football Hub is an AI and expert platform with AI transfers, a team rating, a planner and podcasts. If you want a quick rating, it's a cheap way in. It doesn't list an AI chat about your team, and doesn't publish accuracy.

FPL Review suits the manager who enjoys projections and a transfer solver. LiveFPL suits anyone who wants live rank, leagues and a price predictor with no fuss, and it's free apart from the optional ad-free subscription. Neither offers AI chat about your team, and neither publishes accuracy as a figure.

Fantasy Football Fix is the one in this list that lists AI chat about your team, called ChatFPL, alongside data tools, AI transfers and articles. It doesn't publish accuracy either.

Where FFIQ fits

FFIQ is built around the move for your own team before every deadline: captain, transfers, chips and line-up, plus Ask IQ, an AI you can ask anything about your team. Every call combines 34 calculations with an algorithm that keeps updating as the scenario changes.

You can try quite a lot with no account: a projection for every player six gameweeks ahead, predicted line-ups, the weekly captain and transfer calls, and a free team rater, FPL Rate My Team. That's a sensible place to use your team ID for the first time.

Premium adds your move in the War Room, IQ for any question about your own team, your mini-leagues (who's beating you and how to catch them) and price-rise alerts for your players the night before. It costs £5.99 a month (the Founding Season price, 60% off the standard £14.99), or £59.99 a year. That's not the cheapest option here, so it's fair to ask whether you'll use the extras.

The sign-up offer is your first month free, card needed, cancel any time. FFIQ publishes its record too: picks made before each deadline and scored on FPL's results, misses included. And if you're a Scout member, you can run FFIQ alongside your Scout membership.

Questions managers ask

The questions people ask

What is an FPL team ID?

It's the number in the web address of your Points page on the official FPL site. Tools use it to find and read your team.

Is it safe to share my FPL team ID?

No tool needs your FPL password to read your team, because the team ID is enough. Share the number if a tool asks, but keep your password to yourself.

Why does a tool show my old squad?

FPL publishes every manager's picks only after the deadline passes. Between deadlines, a tool reads the squad FPL last locked, so recent changes show up after the deadline.

Can I find my team ID on my phone?

Yes. Open your Points page on the official FPL site in a browser and read the number in the address. If the address is hard to see, doing it once on a computer works too.

Which free tool should I try first with my ID?

A team rating is a quick test. Fantasy Football Hub offers one (email needed), Scout's Assistant Scout includes one, and FFIQ has a free team rater, FPL Rate My Team.
