Fantasy Football IQ vs Fantasy Football Hub

Short answer: Fantasy Football Hub is an AI and expert platform with AI transfers, a team rating, a planner and podcasts. It is cheaper than FFIQ at its listed price. FFIQ suits you if you want an AI you can question about your own team, and a published record.

Key takeaways

  1. Try Hub's free AI team rating first; it needs an email, and you can compare it with FFIQ's free rater.
  2. Compare yearly costs, not headlines: Hub's Starter is a sale price, and so is FFIQ's Founding Season price.
  3. If you want to ask questions about your own team, check that the tool lists an AI chat. Hub doesn't.
  4. Look for a published record of past picks. Hub doesn't publish its accuracy; FFIQ publishes its record, misses included.
  5. No tool needs your FPL password. Your team ID, from the Points page web address, is enough.

What Fantasy Football Hub actually is

Fantasy Football Hub describes itself as an AI and expert platform. What it lists is AI transfers, a team rating, a planner and podcasts. That mix of machine suggestions and human voices is its pitch.

On the free side, it lists an AI team rating, and you need to give an email address to get it. Paid access starts with the Starter plan at £2.49 a month, billed yearly, which it describes as a 50%-off sale price.

Two things it doesn't list: an AI chat about your own team, and a published accuracy figure. We're only saying it doesn't list or publish them. We can't tell you whether it does something similar behind the scenes.

Price: Hub is the cheaper of the two

Let's be straightforward. Hub's Starter at £2.49 a month, billed yearly, costs less than FFIQ. FFIQ Premium is £5.99 a month, which is the Founding Season price, 60% off the standard £14.99, or £59.99 a year.

Both prices carry a sale label, so check what you'd pay on the day you sign up and what happens at renewal. Prices here are as of 25 October 2026.

FFIQ's sign-up offer is a first month free. A card is needed, and you can cancel any time. If Hub's price is the main thing that matters to you, it has the edge, and there's nothing wrong with choosing on that basis.

Where the two differ most

The clearest difference is asking questions. FFIQ includes IQ, an AI you can ask anything about your own team. Hub's listing doesn't mention a chat like that. Of the tools we looked at, Fantasy Football Fix lists one, called ChatFPL.

The second difference is evidence. Hub doesn't publish its accuracy. FFIQ publishes its record: picks made before each deadline and scored on FPL's results, misses included. You can check the record yourself instead of taking our word for it.

The third is the shape of the product. Hub leans on AI transfers, a planner and podcasts. FFIQ gives you a move for your team before every deadline: captain, transfers, chips and line-up.

The other names you'll see next to Hub

Hub isn't the only option people compare, and each of the others suits someone different.

  • Fantasy Football Scout: articles, community, podcast and data tools. Its free Assistant Scout tier covers key articles, news, community, basic fixture data and a team rating. Chief Scout is £3.25 a month, billed annually. It suits people who like reading and discussing.
  • FPL Review: projections, a planner and a transfer solver, with the free projection model in the planner. Paid access is through Patreon. It suits people who like to tinker with the numbers themselves.
  • LiveFPL: live rank, leagues, a price predictor, a planner and a ticker, all free. An optional subscription removes ads. It suits anyone who watches the live table.
  • Fantasy Football Fix: data tools, AI transfers, ChatFPL and articles. A free account is available, and Premium is £3.48 a month, billed yearly, a limited-time price.

Several of these can sit alongside each other. A Scout member, for instance, can run FFIQ alongside their Scout membership.

Who should pick which

Pick Fantasy Football Hub if you like the idea of AI transfer suggestions plus podcasts, you want the lower listed price, and you're happy without a team chat or a published accuracy figure.

Pick FFIQ if you'd rather have a clear move for your own squad before each deadline, want to ask questions about it, and value a record you can look through for yourself.

If you're not sure, use the free tiers first. Both Hub and FFIQ give you a team rating, and FFIQ's free tools need no account. Fantasy Premier League itself is free to play, so you don't need to pay anyone to enjoy the game.

Where FFIQ fits

FFIQ gives you projections for every player and the move for your own team before every deadline: captain, transfers, chips and line-up. Ask IQ is the AI you can question about your team. The method line, word for word: Every call combines 34 calculations with an algorithm that keeps updating as the scenario changes.

Free, with no account, you get a projection for every player six gameweeks ahead, predicted line-ups, the weekly captain and transfer calls, and a free team rater called FPL Rate My Team.

Premium adds the War Room with your move before every deadline, IQ for any question about your team, your mini-leagues (who's beating you and how to catch them), and price-rise alerts for your players the night before. It never asks for your FPL password. Your team ID is enough.

How to test a tool without wasting a gameweek

Your team ID is the number in the web address of your Points page on the official FPL site. Any tool can use it to read your team.

Keep one thing in mind: FPL publishes every manager's picks only after the deadline passes. Between deadlines, any tool reads the squad FPL last locked, so don't be alarmed if a fresh transfer isn't reflected straight away.

A fair test is to run two tools through one gameweek. Note what each suggests for your captain and transfers, remember that extra transfers cost four points each, and see which advice you'd actually have trusted. If you're weighing a chip such as the Wildcard, Free Hit, Bench Boost or Triple Captain, ask each tool about it before committing.

The War Room

Now see it for your own squad.

Your account opens on the War Room with your squad: your captain, your transfers and your chips, already linked.

Questions managers ask

The questions people ask

Is Fantasy Football Hub free?

It lists a free AI team rating, which needs an email address. Paid access starts with Starter at £2.49 a month, billed yearly, which it describes as a 50%-off sale price.

Is Fantasy Football Hub cheaper than FFIQ?

At the prices listed, yes. FFIQ Premium is £5.99 a month (the Founding Season price, 60% off the standard £14.99) or £59.99 a year.

Does Fantasy Football Hub have an AI chat about my team?

Its listing doesn't mention one. FFIQ has IQ, which answers questions about your own team, and Fantasy Football Fix lists ChatFPL.

Do I need to give my FPL password?

No. No tool needs your FPL password to read your team, because the team ID is enough. FFIQ never asks for it.

Can I use FFIQ with another tool?

Yes. A Scout member can run FFIQ alongside their Scout membership. The same logic applies to free tools like LiveFPL.
