The Crowd's Ledger: Calafiori Is the Line Everyone's Buying
The biggest single entry in today's book is Riccardo Calafiori: up 4.6 in owned share in one day, leaping from sixth to fourth among defenders and now sitting in nearly a quarter of squads. That's not a drift — that's a bandwagon with its engine running, and in this game the price follows the crowd, not the other way round. If he's on your shortlist, the cheapest day to buy him was yesterday. The second cheapest is today.
The full day-over-day tables are below; here's what actually moved.
The money coming in. Beyond Calafiori, the flows are steady rather than dramatic. Mbeumo (+1.2, now roughly 3 in 10) has overtaken Semenyo as the third most-owned midfielder — a straight swap in the crowd's affections, with Semenyo shedding 1.1 on the same day. João Pedro keeps compounding at +1.4 and is closing on 6 in 10 owned, and Raya (+1.5) tightened his grip as the template keeper. Gibbs-White nudged into the midfield top ten at about 1 in 10 owned — quiet, but worth noting in the margins.
The money going out. Haaland — still owned by roughly 7 in 10, still untouchable at the top — shed 1.4, the biggest faller anywhere on the sheet. At that ownership it's a rounding error, not a story. More telling: Gyökeres dropped 1.1 and slipped behind Watkins in the forward pecking order, Guéhi fell two spots among defenders, and Cunha was squeezed out of the midfield top ten entirely, drifting to about 1 in 10 owned. When the crowd stops buying, selling prices erode — anyone holding Cunha as a luxury should be honest about which way that line is trending.
The call. One move dominates the ledger and it's Calafiori. At +4.6 in a day, this is exactly the kind of surge that forces a price rise, and every day you wait is a tenth of a million you may hand back. If he was in your plans anyway, do it now and bank the value rather than chasing it next week. And on the other side of the book: don't fight the Semenyo-to-Mbeumo tide out of stubbornness, but don't panic-sell Gyökeres on one day's drift either — that's a hold until the trend confirms. Calafiori is the buy. Make it before the price does.
